A drawback is that the files grow in size when using PureRAW processing. The software was capable of using newer formats such as Canons.CR3 and raw files created by Nikon’s Mirrorless Z 6 cameras, as also with standbys that have long-time capabilities such as Canon’s Canon EOS 6D or T1i. It’s a step up from individual Topaz products and accomplishes the tasks of the 3 Topaz tools in roughly 3/3 of the duration.
The size of the image is a major factor with the speed of processing, as do the available resources. My m43s images took just over one minute to process on my middle-tier Desktop PC. you are still able to play with LLC add features in the future however, it will be built on the Linear DNG demonstrations made available by a different Raw processor in the first. It can be confusing because some raw processing programs think that demosaiced but still natural images in colorspace to be “raw”, even if it’s actually “pseudo-raw”. I was extremely happy to have a product that can make lenses more correct (because C1 does not have the majority of lenses that are RF) but I’m not sure I’ll purchase it. If people weren’t saving RAWs using this feature, DxO wouldn’t have as big of a market to tap into. However, this isn’t the case when new versions of Lightroom, Capture One, or Phocus are released and is an important element of what RAW actually means.
